Reservations

Hello everyone, well, more time has gone by, and faster, than I had planned, in between posts, and here is one reason:
This is Gilly, waiting for the next exciting thing to happen around here.  I'm learning in Puppy School how to encourage her to find entertainment without nibbling on me or pulling at my clothes.  Raising a puppy is rather time consuming, in a nice way, but still I'm glad I don't have 5 of them which her (birth) mother might have done.

But luckily there's time for making things:
That's the "asymmetry of independence".

"Heaven's Radio", named after an old song.

"Nine Patch Horse"

Here's one of my favorite horse inspirations, from the Art Institute in Chicago:

"Re: productive thinking"

Now as to the title of this post, "reservations".  I've been thinking how it can mean making a nice time- space for something, like reservations for dinner.  Then again if one has reservations ABOUT something, it's likely to forecast a change of direction, one of which I've just had.  I was thinking of having a little show/sale at my house, but then I began to "have reservations" and changed my mind!  It's a big relief.  Perhaps another time.  Meanwhile I hope you are enjoying plentiful reserves and moving forward contentedly.  xoxo, s.

  2. Beautiful felted pieces -- and a very cute pup! I have decided that having raised my children, I am not brave enough for a dog, and will stick to being a Certified Cat Person. Good luck to you! :-)

P.S. I share your reservations about a show/sale at home. I had the same thoughts about one this summer, and have been waffling. Now we can be reserved together!

    1. Thanks Margaret...my family is so far away and the pup is good company...she keeps my creaky old bones in motion! Yes, I like the idea of a home show/sale, but it means all the time that could be spent making things is spent preparing the house...a dilemma..

    1. Thanks Deb...I think it was inspired by some white beans...a soup I made and then thought I'd like to try growing them some year...this year the focus is kale!

  4. Suzanna, yes, I see the geometric shapes -- these pieces are wonderful as is Gilly, the darling. Puppies are A LOT of work but there's a pretty good return on it! xo

    1. Hi Peggy, thank you for your kind words...yes to the good return on the puppy work. She is very funny sometimes. Yesterday she graduated from her first puppy class and we're about to enroll in the next. She seems to enjoy learning, and it's quite an education for me too!
