While on my trip to the Northwest, I visited a show in Astoria, Oregon of original works by Katherine Dunn, of Apifera Farm. Her
blog is always intriguing; her lively and kindly imagination sees deeply into life, so I was very glad to be able to see her work in person again. These are some of my very favorites... The
Riversea Gallery website shows more...
I wish the photo quality were better but perhaps you can catch a glimpse of her rare vision and love of creatures and the stories they embody...
thank you so much for introducing me to this amazing artist, person, woman!

DeleteSaskia, I'm so glad you like her work! ( I had to remove my first reply because I tried to put a picture in but it didn't work.)

ReplyDeletei love her blog and paintings .
Hi Kathy! I saw it on the way to the workshop. Astoria is way out there on the edge of things, geographically, or so it seemed to me, and so I was very glad to be grounded by all these images and the keen imagination of them.
DeleteThank you for posting this- I didn't know you had gone and i really appreciate you taking time to see my work! Yours is lovely too, by the way!
