Hello everyone. Perhaps, I was thinking, my blogging procrastination was due to feeling I had to have lots to show. So today, just one picture... The owl in progress!
Oh, I've been catching up and see you're working on t-shirts -- lucky family, the Goldfinch is wonderful, too! Was wondering how the water situation is for you. Hope you go back to green again soon.
Peggy, I gave them gift certificates for embroidered shirts for their birthdays...they each chose the kind of bird! T-shirt material isn't the greatest for embroidering, but it's a lot better than denim! It might be better to do the embroidery on a softer fabric and then applique it on...maybe will try that soon.
We had a few drops of rain last week. And since then it has rained a bit elsewhere, but not enough to turn us green again. There is hope though.
Hi Grace...glad you like it. I'm learning quite a bit about birds, making me notice them even more. The other day I watched an entire story unfold from bird interactions...that will be the next book. It was like being in a theater.
I love making things. Lately I've been making small watercolors, small porcelain pieces and (slowly, very slowly) continuing with my slow fiber work. I am a granny with a small carbon footprint.
I love your owl, Suzanna -- are you working on a piece of clothing? So cool!
ReplyDeleteHi Peggy, it's a t-shirt!
