A pattern where the sidewalk crosses the tracks:
Some coal cars waiting to go somewhere:
Crocheted flowers on the fence separating the sidewalk from the construction. This is just a tiny portion of the display.
Here is the sleeve of my old jacket that I "boro-ed" a la Jude:
Some New Jersey azalea blossoms, just beginning to assert themselves. It was cold and rainy almost the entire visit, but then Easter was a beautiful day, maybe even a little too suddenly warm, but how glad we were for the sunshine.
That's all for now. Time for bed.
Hello Suzanna! I was wondering yesterday should I comment & ask where you have been - or would that be a bit pushy - and here you are back with a glimpse of life round your way. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth...it's so good to hear from you...pretty soon I'll be home and able to catch up with news...thanks a lot for writing!
ReplyDeleteFence with flowers!
ReplyDeleteNow, were those flowers crocheted
into the fence? silly question i guess...
Love the idea!
Hi Cristina...good question! I should've looked more closely...I think they were probably sewn on though...after being made somewhere else...it was about 75' of fence and the flowers were consistent, as though it had been planned ahead...it really perked up the construction site. I wish I'd taken a photo of the whole fence, but alas...
ReplyDeleteWow...I'm dreaming about that fence!
ReplyDeleteHi Deb, I thought you might like that!
ReplyDeleteJust love the boro sleeve Suzanna. I bet many heads turned to look at them! How wonderful to turned jacket to boro! Hugs Nat
ReplyDeleteHi Nat, thanks! I really love wearing it, and plan to continue on in this vein with the rest of my wardrobe...:) Probably slowly...
ReplyDeleteWow, I love your sleeve.
