Moon Shine

We were lucky to have clear skies for the big moon...what a beauty it was, is...peeping through the roses.

and here is a piece I began at the new moon...experimenting with combining embroidery and felt...

The other day there was a lovely shower of rose petals that Gilly pondered in wonderment:
I wasn't fast enough to capture them falling.  Now she has had her shots so we've been taking walks each day.  Today wasn't too successful down at the waterfront due to some aggressive dogs...we have to figure out when is best to go, and I need to get her a harness so I can lift her out of danger safely.  She weighs 7 pounds now and was complimented in Puppy School for her increased confidence and good Sit and Down.  Wow!!  That's all for now.  Happy Moon!

    1. Peggy, thank you! Your blog always inspires me to pay more attention to the moon. Gilly and I have just come back from puppy school...phew, it's a workout! (for me...she is ready for hours more activity...)

    1. Hi Deb...Gilly is a champ...we just are back from a little hike by the waterfront. She picked up a big burr on her lip last night and this morning I successfully removed it, while she was very drowsy and not wiggly. Phew! Am also learning how to work with an active puppy around...

  3. Hi Suzanna, just wanted to let you know that I've found Woman with Wings through your blog - lovely!
Do you find summer slows down the making of things? I find and wash and sort in the warm months. In autumn, winter and early spring I make things.

    1. Hi Elizabeth...I'm glad you found her blog...her interest in herbs and moon phases etc. make me feel connected better to the rest of the universe. That's an interesting question about slowing down in summer, which is coming up soon here, but our climate is usually fairly cool because of the bay fog, so I can keep working generally. But really hot weather just wilts me. Right now I'm preparing for a show at my house so I'm making alot...

    1. Hi Grace...Gilly makes the home quite a bit livelier...today we have puppy class which is a great blessing as I have many questions about raising a puppy into a more or less mannerly dog. The trouble is that some of her naughtier activities are so funny...thanks for stopping by...it's good to hear from you...
