not snow, but...

Seeing the beautiful snow pictures on Spirit Cloth makes me a little homesick for back east, but here is an offering of hope!  The fruit trees are starting to bloom all over town; this is one from the big park just east of us.

Somehow, with no warning at all, I have caught a cold, despite trying very hard to avoid such a thing. Perhaps starting to prepare for tax time has made it feel welcome.

And here is how my homecloth is coming.  Gulp.  So far it is about order and disorder, infinity, my new glasses and the rosebush out front. I am not sure where it is going.  Well, inbetween coming and going is IS.  And likely that will change soon.

  1. Wonderful blooming trees!

Intersting piece... who says you need to know where it's going, eh?

    Hope you feel better soon.

  2. Oh, those trees, make me long for spring! Here snow and ice are melting, must say I feel happy about that. I love blooming fruit trees, last autumn I planted two apple trees next to my old apple tree, now I've got a little orchard.
Love the symbolism in your homecloth. Hope you'll feel better soon.

  3. I lived in Berkeley once. It snowed white blossoms all over the sidewalk. I remember thinking: so this is snow in California! Good luck with tax time, I am trying to get started on it, too. And your homecloth is intriguing! xo Kari

  4. Thank you all for commenting. Catherine, you're right, I don't need to know where it's will tell me in time. And Sandra, it's nice you have a little family of apple trees now and the line will continue. I have an apple tree out back and a persimmon in the front, but they haven't started to bloom yet. They were pruned really heavily this year. Kari, good luck with your tax time chores too. Now I use quicken and the work goes faster, but the anxiety still hovers! I love hearing from you all.

  5. Thanks so much for visiting my blog and your comment! Yours is wonderful- I love your applique/cloth work! Yes, it's amazing the snow back east (and even the south) while CO is begging for it! Just got a light covering tonight, but that was about it! -PJ from Golden Oasis
